For details regarding stud welding process, refer AWS Welding Handbook Volume 2 Chapter 9.
It defines 2 types of Stud welding.
1. Arc stud welding &
2. Capacitor Discharge stud welding.
Normally in the Equipment Catalogue which you use will contain these details.
Moreover refer to QW-192.2.1 (below) which emphasises that only Automatic stud welding to be used. Hence it fall under Welding Operator.
I do not have any sample of WQT.
