[MW:27045] Re: Welding after PWHT on SA335 P11 coil

Thanks Hareesh for quick response. However, is it mandatory per code to do PWHT? RF pad is welded on coil with a fillet weld. Can you please give me the code reference?

Dears,

We have ordered fired heater in which coil material is SA335 P11. Coil size is 6" x SCH 40 (i.e. 6.625" OD x 0.28" THK). These coils are PWHT'd. Issue is, our vendor forgot to weld the thermocouple RF pads on the coil before PWHT. What needs to be done further if we weld the RF Pads on the already PWHT'd coils? Do we need to do PWHT again for that particular joint?
