Re: [MW:8317] Hardness value of Stainless Steels


Dear Mr. Murgan / Mr. yogesh

Hardness restriction is normally specified in upper side with respect to service condition.

For example, for NACE services restriction of hardness is being specified in upper side only.  Table - 2 of NACE MR 0103 defines the hardness restriction of various material on upper side. For Austenitic stainless steel the limit is 22 HRC max.
