[MW:28777] RE: 28775] Request for Welding Consumable for Kanthal® AF Material

Shaji,

There's very little information available for this alloy. Originally this product belonged to Sandvik, now it's a separate company. I've attached some information. The highlighted text in the first attachment may be of help.

You may ask Sandvik or their  agents for further help. I'm not sure what is 670 electrode, hence can't make any comment about its suitability.

Let me know if it helps.

Thanks.

Subject: [MW:28775] Request for Welding Consumable for Kanthal® AF Material

Dear Sir,

Request to guide me the SMAW electrode to use Kanthal® AF Ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy).

At present we are planning to use 670 electrode with SMAW process.

Request for your guidance.

Thanks & Regards,

Shaji Nair
