Good day


We are doing welding on a spherical vessel. The client is asking for the production weld sample for the first 3m of welding for all the joints along with the RT.

My questions are:
1. Where is the detail reference for requirement of production test coupon in ASME Sec IX?

2. Can we replace RT with PAUT ? Is there any specific technical requirement that only RT needs to be done not PAUT on PTC. as in actual job we will be doing PAUT not RT.
