Do u mean to say it will lead to secondary hardening due to Mo?

Hi Kg Pandhitan

May I know why ERNiMo3 (Inconel 625) shall not be used?

Thanks

Is it Inconel 600/625??
For dissimilar combination, it is better go for ER NiCr3 for GTAW / ENiCrFe3 (for service temp less than 680C) or ENiCrFe2
if it is subjected PWHT, do not use NiCrMo3 (Inconel 625)

Weldability of your ER308L/347 and ERNiCrFe-2 combination is OK.
even if you use E308L, you will get something close to a super austenitic weld metal which may be acceptable for your application. But again, it depends on your application. I have recently prepared a WPS for welding super-duplex stainless steel to Inconel which I had only one option for filler metal and that was because my job specification was quite stringent. ER NiCrMo-3 is weldable but the resulted weld metal could not meet the job requirements.

Hence, review your job specification to see what are your requirements...
What is it that you are welding...?
What is your fluid...?
Any impact requirement...?
Any NACE requirement...?

Dear sir,
Thanks for your response. Wanted to know whether can I use a combination of ER308L/347 and ERNiCrFe-2?

ER NiCrMo-3 will do the job for you...
Some even use ER309L but the above mentioned filler metal is 100% guarantied choice and I even do not need to know your application.

Dear all,
Plate thickness 14 mm
Plate material SA 240 TYPE 304L
Joint Single V groove joint
Can I qualify welder for SS and inconel ( for F-No) in the same joint?
Weld deposited thickness 7mm (for SS ) and 7mm (for inconel).
I have heard that SS cannot be welded on Inconel but vice versa is  possible i.e. Inconel on SS.
If yes how? And if answer is No then how?
Is there any metallurgical change involved in this?
Kindly help.
