Dear Ramesh,
WPSs qualified to ASME IX code is allowed for AWS D1.1 welding with consent of buyer as stated in AWS D1.1 - 2010 clause 4.1.1.2.
Moreover, the structure designed as per AWS will not be subjected to similar type of integrity tests as per ASME Sec VIII/B31.3/31.1 because ASME is for pressure vessels, boilers etc.
Hope this will help.

Greetings,
I have one basic question about WPS.
Please share your valuable opinions with me that Difference between qualification of WPS with AWS D1.1 and ASME -IX.
Can we use the WPS qualified with SEC-IX for steel structure and vise versa?
Thanks,
With Best Regards,
