The fixed tubesheet exchanger to be heat treated before putting tubes in bundle. ( Rest all the activities to be completed). When heat treating some bare CS tubes can be inserted peripherally with rods inside and bolted at the ends to prevent any distortion. Then if required tube to tube sheet welding is to be locally heat treated.

Tube Material - Cu Ni 90:10
Tubesheet - SA 266 claded with CU Ni 90:10
Customer is demanding PWHT for complete heat exchanger due to process. But we have fear for failure of tube bundle after PWHT due to differential thermal expansion.
Please comment if CODE has any reference to this?
