Re: [MW:20685] Incoloy 800 stub to tube welding

Hello ,

Are you using fillet joint ? If you use standard weldolet penetration could be better .Gas backing form underneath the weld also helps .

Hello all welding experts,

We are welding fillet of incoloy 800 stub to tube with tube OD 12.86 mm and thickness 2 mm with GTAW and 99.999% purity argon gas with correct filler wire. When we do micro exam, we find root crack and LF.

We have been unable to resolve this issue for past 3 months.

Can any one give suggestion on how to overcome this problem?

Your earliest reply shall be highly valuable.
