Dear Marat

if you have to perform stress relief  to comply with the requirements of API 650 - 5.7.4, then you have to perform PWHT on your PQR specimen

    HI Dear Members,
Could you help me? I work in project for Crude Oil Tank. The tank shall be constructed as per API650 and now I have some following doubts:
    1) As you know WPS for API 650 has to be qualified as per ASME IX CODE and as per this code PWHT is essential variable but what about Thermal Stress Relief which is required as per API 650?
Shall I qualify WPS with Thermal Stress Relief or Thermal Stress Relief shall be performed when it is required as per API 650
    2) For Crude Oil Tank shall be constructed Fire water pipe system and
Drainage system. Company is going to use a plastic pipe material but there are not any notes regarding plastic materials in ASME IX and API 650.
