Re: [MW:16600] Leakage during Silo Pneumatic test at 1 bar

Can u tell me thickness of flange???
Thinner flanges sometimes cause leakage.
Try replacing the flange with greater thickness.

Dear Experts,

We are trying to do Pneumatic testing of SS silos (4mmthk shell thk) 3.5m dia x 12.0m Long

We are observing leakage at plate flange of bottom Cone .

Gasket used is 3mm rubber..

Can you suggest on this issue...

Silos is foe wheat storage application

Water fill test is not being done due to less thickness 3 or 4mm
