Please refer 7.4 clause completely whcih is referring to clause 7.3.2.1.
 
Batch Means " When the heat treatment is performed in the enclosed furnace and has to enterrupt (start/stop) for each batch of forgings.
 
Continuos Run Means " When the furnace is having a moving bed..i.e forging on the moving bed enters the furnace at one end & by the time it exits from the other end it has been heat treated to the requirement".
 
Hardness to be done per heat if the the temperature of the furnace is maintained within +/- 14 deg. centigrade both in case of batch and continuos run.

Technical Query:
Reference: ASME Sec II Part A, SA-105 , 7.4 – Hardness Tests
What is the definition of "Batch" and "Continuous Run" as addressed in 7.4 to determine the minimum number of hardness test required for forging? Please provide this definition with a reference in ASME Standard.
