Re: [MW:16614] Stress relieving & Oxidation on titanium PQR

Hi!
Why did you go for PWHT of Titanium ? if the PQR is on Ti. Generaly Ti does not call for PWHT

Dear Experts,

I have Qualified PQR with below deatils

Material: Titanium
Process: GTAW
Heat treatment done twice one is for stress relieving (600deg.C, 1hr soaking, furnace cooling) & other is for Oxidation( 750deg.C, 3hrs soaking, furnace cooling) on same PQR test cupon as per ASME sec.IX

Now my question is, can i write two WPS with separate HT's by having back up of above PQR

as one is with stress relieving & other is with Oxidation.

Request to send me the reply at the earliest with some back up like referance documents if any

Regards
Prasu
