The cleaning is depending up on quantity of the tube tube to be cleaned and degree of cleanness as per application requirement.
In normal application compressed air leak test with or without ball you can choose.
I accuracy of cleaning is more required then you can choose lube oil flushing.
Water flushing is not advisable it lead to start on corrosion inside the tube after completion of the flushing.
