Dear Mr. Rajagopal,
As we well aware, we have to accomplish the requirement of standard/code. As per interpretation of EN287-1 code, If you have to replace fracture test with macro then only 2 macro sections are enough with one of them in start, stop points.

The fracture tests may be replaced by a macroscopic examination according to EN1321 of atleast two sections.Foot note e. The fracture tests on pipes may be radiographic testing. Our test piece is Pipe to Plate Fillet weld. Now, for this joint, Radiography is not possible. If we have to replace fracture test, will it be enough if we go for only 2 macro sections with one of them in start, stop points?Kindly advise me.Thanks and Best Regards,K.RajagopalTo post to this group, send email to materials-welding@googlegroups.com
