Re: [MW:13926] Propane V/s LPG fired furnace

Dear Mr. Harish

Response given by our Process team as follows with regard to your query

LPG is mixture of Propane and Butane with ratio of 40:60. Since it is a new furnace, Application of LPG in this furnace is no different than propane. If the intention is to use LPG in existing furnace then , the burners need to be checked for the same. Since it needs more air than propane the burner should be adequately designed. LPG should be vaporised and its lines up to the isolation valve of burners should be heat or steam traced. There is no Pros and cons with regard LPG firing compared to Propane firing. Storage of LPG is easier than propane. Moreover you can use propane storage for storing LPG but not vice versa.
