[MW:13983] Welding of Indian standard, IS 2062, Grade E 410 Cu

Dear group members,

To my knowledge, this material is a killed, fine grained, normalized and weldable steel, correct?

In my case, the material should be used for a railway bridge. Largest thickness: 50 mm

I assume from the composition and mechanical characteristics that it is rather similar to EN 10025-3, type 420N steel.

Can somebody tell more about how WPQR and WPS should be for the material?

Would it not be appropriate to Charpy test 50 mm test specimens at -20 deg C with acceptance at least 25 J to show welds and HAZ has at least same

toughness as the parent material?

All advise in regard to welding of the material is appreciated. Thanks

Kind regards
