Dear sir,
Welding of aluminium without addition of alloying element is not recommended due loss of alloying elements in final weld. If total alloying elements reaching < 4% then weld may crack.
Refer curve: Effect of alloying additions on crack sensitivity of aluminium alloys.

Dear Expert
It sound very strange , but I got information there is some non - heat treatable aluminum grade of material which can welded without addition of filler wire metal.
Is it true ?
