Re: [MW:21709] QW 451.1 note 3

Mr. Ansari,

As per table QW-451 if deposited thk is greater than or equal to 19 mm than qualification thk equal to 2 times of base metal thk if BM thk is less than 38 thk,but if BM thk also above 38 than it is 200 mm max. If There is PWHT done than it becomes 1.1 times of BM thk.

Best Regards,
Mohit Aggarwal.

Note that
For base metal T ia applicable and for weld deposit t is applicable.
So ur base metal qualified is 2T for all processes but 4 deposit is only 2t.
So
GTAW 10 MM
SMAW 40 MM
FCAW 50 MM
DEAR EXPERTS CORRECT ME IF I M WRONG

  Dear sir

PQR WELDING PROCESS : GTAW +SMAW+FCAW
WELD DEPOSITION THK  a) GTAW :  5 mm
                                                 b) SMAW : 20 mm
                                                 c)  FCAW : 25 mm

As per  QW-451.1 note 3  ,  the SMAW, SAW, GMAW, PAW, and GTAW welding processes only; otherwise per Note (1) or 2 T, or 2t, whichever is applicable.

Can i use above clause for FCAW
