Dear Sir,

my question regarding to gain size of austenitic stainless steel material of  A350 LF2

1) how to check gain size of above material??????  - As per method ASTM E112 - Testing facility available in all metallurgical testing labs.
2) what is acceptance criteria for gain size???  -  The project specification says the accetable grain size. Usually finer grain size products are preferred by most of the services.
3) which gain size check Austenitic or ferrite ????? - There is no difference in  checking Austenitic or ferritic steels. It is the test to determine the size of the grain the product has irrespective of ferrite, austenite, martensite or whatever may be the structure.
