Re: [MW:21212] I. D. MACHINING/ BORING OF SA 106 GR. B PIPES

but available ID of WN flg. as per ASME B16.5 for 8" flg. is 202.7mm and and as per B36.10  8" sch.40 is having thk.of 8.18mm so its bore is matching as per flg.
if u machine the ID to get sch.30 pipe ID vl be 205.0mm hence it will not match wid d WN flg ID.

Dear Experts,

Good day to all. I need your experts' advise for an issue. In ASME U Stamp jobs, may we bore/ machine the I.D. of SA 106 Gr. B Pipes from higher schedule to lower schedule, to match with W.N. Flnage I.D? Actually, we required 8" NPS Sch. 30 pipe and available with us 8" NPS Sch. 40.

If no, please give me the code reference.
