Hello,
As per the BS EN 1011-2, there is two type of way for calculation,
1) As per the BS EN 1011-2 Annex C, Method A.
Reference figure- C.2b of BS EN 1011-2
Example :-
Combined thickness -31.25 mm
Heat Input -3.61 KJ/mm ( Maximum heat input as per the calculation)
Hydrogen scale- D (as per table c.2 and used consumable) (Hydrogen Scale Value is mentioned in MTC of consumable)
Carbon equivalent -0.433 (assumed as per the raw Material MTC used for PQR)
Minimum preheat temperature- 0deg C ( As per figure #C.2.a of BS EN 1011-2)
2) Calculation of the preheat temperature.
Tp= 697*CET+160*tanh(d/35)+62*HD power 0.35+ (53*CET-32)*Q-328
In your cash pre heat temp will be 0degC
