[MW:26750] Re: QW 410.10 Use of Multi-Electrode to Single Electrode

Dear Mr Vijay Katkar,

Supplementary essential variable comes into effect only when toughness requirement is specified, Since in your case it is not required, ASME gives the flexibility to use the same WPS/PQR for single wire/three wire combo SAW process (Refer QW 410.10).

Dear All,

Need your help.

I have SAW process PQR with three wire combination, Can I use this PQR with single wire ?

Equipment is not required Impact test.

Change from Single to multi electrode and vice versa  is a supplementary essential variable.

Current & Polarity of these wires are DCEP.

Is there any other variable which restrict to use multi-electrode to single?  please guide me on this.

Regards

Vijay Katkar
