Re: [MW:26721] Polisher softening Vessel Flange Corrosion

Dear Sir:
It seems simple coating failure followed by further corrosion starting at the coating damage spot.

Coating needs to be examined in regular basis.

BTW how long has it been used?

What sevice fluid?

Thanks,

Sanggyu

Dear Friends,

we are facing the problem, one of our polisher softening vessel 24'' nozzle flange has corroded refer attached photos.

This Vessel was internally coated with Belzona 1391S and Materials of the flange ASTM A105 /N ('10ED)+NACE MR-0175.

Also, the gasket that we used was of SS316 L Inner. SS316L Winding, FG, SS Outer, ASME B16.20 #150.

Kindly advice as to what might have been the cause of the corrosion and also advise how to rectify and prevent any such occurrence in the future.
