It means if you have already qualified a procedure for similar P nos,
say, as per ASME sec IX or any code, you can refer it in your new
WPS if done with AWS D 1.1 for same P nos. No need to do a PQR
for the new WPS.

Prequalified welding procedure specification includes a weld joint specified in a governing code that does not require validation of welding parameters through the performance of a procedure qualification test. So, a prequalified WPS does not need a supporting Procedure Qualification test Record (PQR).
