[MW:25753] Re: Query Regarding Heat Treatment of Test Specimen ucs-85

Hi all,
we are using 7c27mo2 material for hardening. material thickness is 0.300 mm. Hardening at 1040c Heating ramp 95 minutes and soaking exactly 10 minutes.
Hardness what we achieved is 640 - 650 HV and Yield strength is around 1400-1450 Mpa and Tensile strength is 1900 Mpa. Here the problem is some of the lots attain more than1900 Mpa of Tensile strength but some lots are fail to attain 1900 Mpa.

Process Details:
Hardening - 1040C Heating ramp around 11C per min.
Quenching - liquid N2 gas at 5 bar pressure
Tempering - 200C for 2 hours.
