Re: [MW:25676] Tube to Tubesheet Joint

Taking into account that your Pno is 43 you may benefit of the provisions of  QW 202.4.
However before take a final decisions check the requirements of QW 202.6

Hi

Assuming your construction code is ASME SEC VIII div.1,
You will have to carry out a separate tube to tube sheet mock up qualification.
Refer ASME SEC IX and SEC VIII Div 1 for details.
Also tube to Tube sheet mock up qualification will be mentioned in your approved QAP

Subject: [MW:25662] Tube to Tubesheet Joint

Dear Experts,

Need your guidance on the following:

We have tube to tube-sheet joint having Groove + Fillet Weld without grooves & expansion. (Tube-2.7mm, Tubesheet-45mm, P No.43 to P. No.43)

I have PQR qualified on plate 10mm Thk. (P No.43 to P No.43, Qualification Range - 1.5 to 20mm).

Can I use the same WPS for this joint or we have to qualify new procedure.

Procedure qualified as per ASME Sec.IX.

Need clarification with reference to clause number.
