Sent by: materials-welding@googlegroups.com

Dear ASME Specialists ,

in ASME Sec II, Part C, SFA 5.18, Table 8 for standard Sizes,

for GTAW straight lengths , under Note b,

Length shall be 900 + 25 mm / -0 Tolerance given.

Is it Mandatory to follow, because we received GTAW rod size of 1000 mm actual and the Mill sheet also mentioned 1000 mm, but this Note b is allowed up to 925 mm only.

During ASME joint review Audit, how to explain this to the Auditor.

Regards,

Saravanan.
