RE: [MW:22375] Incoloy tube to tube joint welding

Dear friend,
Root cause could be analyzed after you give us some details about the weld.
As I know you did RT previously and didn't see any issue. Also you did PT and same result. It's because of the size of cracks. In which cases that you expect hair like cracks, you should use RT with more definition (x-ray with slow speed films) or a method of PT with more definition (such as fluorescent).

Regards

We are welding incoloy tube to tube joint using incoloy filler wire. PQR as per ASME is qualified. PT, RT, hydrotest of joint is acceptable. After bending this tube, when we conducted PT on the weld joint, one surface indication was noticed. This indication disappeared after filing. We cut this joint circumferentially and did micro and macro test. In macro, we found some crack like indication in weld joint.

Can anyone help to analyse and give root cause for this? Which other NDT method we can employ to ensure that all other welded joints do not have these cracks?
