Materials with Z properties simply means improved Tensile Properties in the Z direction (Through thickness of the materials) which also has a resttriction on the level of imperities (Sulphur Content). it could be Z15, Z25 or Z35 but whatever it is, it does not required special Electrode or seperate WPS if all other things are equal. Z Materials are recommended when there will be heavy welding on the through thickness of a materials.
