I have doubt abt the following clause
Code ref- MSS-SP-75 CLause No-9.1.4- Fitting shall be uniformly
reheated above the transformation range, held at temp. sufficient to
achieve uniform temp. throughout the mass and immediately immersion
quenched in a suitable liquid medium.
Kindly clarify the first line of this clause- Fitting shall be
reheated above the transfomation range.
What will be transformation range for this?
I need some clarification for the heat treatments for these
fittings(Temp. of Quenching as well as Tempering)
Kindly explain and justify
