As per ASME SEC-V, ART -2,T-276.2, for IQI selection, it has been mentioned that the weld reinforcement as per the referencing code can be added with nominal wall thickness of the pipe.
As per B31.3, the acceptance for weld reinforcement or internal protrusion for wall thickness above 6mm to 13mm is 3mm.
If we take a 4" sch std pipe, thickness of which is 6.02mm, Can we take into consideration 6.02mm + 3mm for reinforcement + 3mm for internal protrusion - total 12.02mm as nominal wall thickness for the essential wire to be visible as per Table T276 in Sec V art 2?
If so, is there any reference that internal protrusion can also be considered?
