Dear sir,
I have some confusion regarding requirment of PTC. i have come across
some stregenth problem due to PTC requirement .as per my job MDMT of
that is -35 deg centigrade. as per drg/client i have been attached 2
PTC during welding of shell long seam with SMAW+ SAW process. .my
question there is required additional PTC for nozzle pipe to flange
joint.i am using for this joint GTAW + SMAW. as per TPI nozzle to
flange joint coming in category B joint so there is required
additional PTC if you are using different welding process other than
category A & B joint of shell long seam and cirseam.
CODE OF CONSTRUCTION ASME SECTION VIII DIV1 MDMT-35DEG
MATERIAL OF PIPE =SA333 GR6,
FLANGE MATERIAL SA350 LF2 CL1
Thk 11.06
1) Is there required PTC for above same material at MDMT-35 Degree centigrade.
2) Nozzle to flange joint coming in which category of weld joint.
3) does above impact tested product material fall in curve B of UCS 66
plz reply your anwer as soon as possible with suitable clarification
as per code requirement
Regards
