RE: [MW:9109] Regarding batch qualification for EC308L

Thanks for the reply.

 

Actually I have gone through SFA 5.9,Please look at clause no 7 .& clause no A 10.3.

 

Now Question arises that, as per SF1 5.9,Only chemical test is required. If any how we want to check impact test, fillet test & radiographic test, then which SFA should we follow? As per clause A10.3 Is it SFA5.4? If yes then for 1.2 mm dia  wire what steps we should take for further all these  testings.

 

All members Please suggest on this matter.

Dear Vinit

The MIG wire you are referring is a composite cored wire.

Please refer ASME Sec II Part C, SFA 5.9 wherein you will get all the tests to be conducted for batch qualification.
