Re: Re: [MW:7343] Certified Welding Inspector Course -WRI(Welding Research Institute Trichy)

Dear All

I completed both CWI-WRI & CWI-AWS .

CWI -WRI is best and better than AWS.If you want good knowledge in welding then you go for CWI-WRI .Faculty  members are more experienced and having good knowledge .35-40 years experience Faculty are there.

Even all mechanical tests, Destructive test classes are very good they they are giving demonstration on all test and welding process .but these things are not in AWS.

Thanks & Regards

Job.Company does not need the graduate engineers as welding
Inspectors. But we have more engineers in India,At-least every house
have one engineer in our Metro cities. They need Jobs/Money in

many of the White QC Managers in Gulf zone they are based from welder
position only.one-thing is
very clear that getting CWI certificate is beneficial for yearning

I am happy to hear the real facts and let's hope that there should be
some minimum diploma/degree in mechanical/metallurgy qualifications to
get these
certifications

CSWIP and AWS now a days lost it's charm.Literally,we can buy AWS/CWI
certificatesfrom the streets of Chennai !!! CSWIP alsolost it's
dignity, anyhow maintaining some value comparing to AWS.To be frank
these certifications are purely multi million dollar business.

Even one of my colleague, who just passed outEngineering Degreein 2009
have CSWIP 3.1 certificate in his hand !!!

He never saw an electrode in his life before !!!

Even commerce and arts graduates having CSWIP and AWS certifications
working in GULF!!! Then every one can imagine how hard these
certifications to get!!!

I thought that CSWIP 3.2 qualified people are knowledgable. To be frank
I found lot of technicians(NDT technicians)turned CSWIP 3.2candidates
working as Senior Inspectors with massive remuneration package. At the
same time Qualified Engineers getting peanuts due to lack of CSWIP
title !!!

I am really sorry to say that, technician turned senior inspectors don't
have indepth metallurgy stuff, they don't know how to review codes and
standards. They don't know how to take critical decisions. They know only
how to inspect the weld visually, lol.

Every one want CSWIP or AWS as it became a guranteed stamp to get job
as Quality personnel especially in GULF.

Mr.Farook...
I do not know by what meaning you are talking about WRI.you already
told that you did not hear about the WRI.It is one of the best welding
school in India. The excellent faculties. very good Interaction and
learning experience etc.Well equipped laboratories and updated workshop
facilities etc etc...As a beginner it will be very much helpful for him
to learn the subject from the field masters. The course itself designed
for two weeks period,so before doing the international certifications
it will give him a lot of knowledge and confident in the subject.
with kind regards,
Jawahar Balasubramanian.

Dear Anand,

So far i didnt heard about WRI.. what Naushand told is correct. Go for
CSWIP3.1 or AWS...if you want todo that course in india, then my
suggestion is CSWIP 3.1 dont go for AWS because now a days even a
people dont have experience also can pass this exam at india.. no value
for that too...

All the best,

asfaruk
