Re: [MW:0] Wrong cut on Dish head

Hi,

Option No.1:you can close the previous holes with the same parent material followed by RT/UT examination is acceptable,If the vessel is not fall in service condition or code specify impact requirements.

Option No.2:I recommend you to make the previous opening as a spare nozzle with blind flange.

If your customer not accept this suggestion and the vessel is not fall in service condition or code specify impact requirements you can go for option no.1.

Thanks & Regards,

I am working for a company ,our company is manufacturing ASME U stamp vessel,
as per drawing we cut nozzel location on dish head, but after two months later clients revised the drawing & they shifted the Nozzel position ,
so may question is can we make two new hole in new drawing location & use that parent metal to cover the previous hole ,is it acceptable as per ASME,

please do reply
