Vishal,

The SMAW, or fully Shielded Metal Arc Welding is a process where the filler metal is coated or shielded with the flux coating, 
Submerged Arc Welding is a welding process where the filler weld metal is submerged under the flux, be it recyclable or not and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding is a welding process where the shield is in the form of gas. Each is a different process. If we were to use coated flux metal for welding, it will always be called as shielded metal arc welding. Do not confuse SMAW with other welding processes.
