Subject: [MW:6819] Construction Code for Structural Steel (offshore construction)

Dear All,

I would like to request information of any construction code that is applicable for offshore construction (structural steel), is there any code that determines PWHT requirements with regards of the material Thickness??.

For example, we're going to use a 2" tubular materials for offshore structural construction, is there any construction code saying that it has to be PWHT?? I've been looking in AWS D 1.1 and it stated that there are no requirements, except written in the contract

Please correct me if I'm wrong

Thank you & Regards

Ofazni
