Hi, Please find below the simple steps for oncoming material inspection. a) What are all the points to be inspected and verified during incoming inspection? 1) Material required certificate or not, If yes receive certificate 2) If material comes without certificate…Hold until receive 3) Visual Inspection for damage 4) Review certificate with applicable code and original marking 5) Check dimension 6) Check for any NDE requirement as per code or project specifications 7) Prepare Incoming inspection reports 8) Review reports 9) Prepare inspection notice (if witness needed by the customer or AI/Third party) 10) If the above points are accepted, release for fabrication
For acceptance criteria see applicable code of construction.For example,If ASME is construction code - refer to Sec.-II part A and the construction code.
