[MW:7211] ISR of P15E Material

Dear All,

This is with reference to ISR of Butt Joint for P15E( 9Cr -1Mo)
material.

* Whether the ISR is required immidiately after welding before going
below the preheat temprature.
*If due to some reason ISR is not possible immediately & we complete
the DHT at 350 for 2 hours- can we go for ISR after two three days or
the same will not be beneficial.

My understanding is that cracking due to Hydrogen occurs due to three
conditions( Stress Level, Hydrogen Content, Microstructure-Hardness).
This cracking can occur at any time after the completion of welding 1
hour, 1 day, 10 days ets.
I have 10 butt joints, it is possible to do SR on two immidately on
others it is not possible and DHT is done.

I mean to say ISR can be done even after cooling to room temprature
but risk of cracking between the time it reaches room temp. & start os
ISR will be there, but after ISR the risk will not be there.

Your commnets please
