I think you rather shall worry about how many times do you repair the pipes?
You may think of changing instead of repairing after 2 - 3 repairs on the
same section. If the material is an alloyed one and the pressure is high you
may change it after 1 repair.

Further, ASME B31.3 utilizes a 3:1 safety factor in the Allowable
Stress Design of piping systems. So, it is unlikely that a 150%
