Re: [MW:7020] SDSS consumable procurement

Dear Karthik Sir,

Thank you very much for the guidance. Please gothrough the following query and guide me.

Dear All,

I have some SDSS consumable certificate and data sheet.I couldn't find any Schedule marking on it.How we can identify the consumable certificate schedule designation from consumable certificate.ie,F,G,H,I,J&K?More over Fillet test, moisture content, diffusible hydrogen, lateral expansion are not mentioned in the certificate or data sheet. Is this certificate comes under Schedule 'F',ie, Manufacturer's standard testing level? If not what schedule designation?

In theform manufacturer clearly mentioned that Schedule'F' is chemical analysis only, mechanical values are optional. What it means?

The following data available on the certificate/data sheet

Inspection certificate (3.1) - Chemical Analysis
Test Report(2.2) - Mechanical Properties

Lot no
Brand
Description
Item no

SFA/AWS and EN classification

Chemical composition
Mechanical properties  - Impact,Tensile,Yield,%Elongation,FN and hardness

Others
Redrying temperature
CPT test
Huy test
SCC test

Regards,

Limesh

Hi Limesh,
Please find below my Suggestions as marked in red.

1.PWHT - ? - N/A

2.Radiography/soundness test - ? N/A

3.Fillet weld test - ? - AS PER SFA5.4 - TABLE-3 REQUIREMENT
4.Bend test - ? - N/A

5.Other .......... ? - AS PER CLIENT'S REQUIRMETS YOU CAN REQUEST-If you go for Schedule "K"

Chemical Analysis

1.Ferrite content - Found from client spec

2.Moisture content - ? -SHALL BE SPECIFIED IN CERTIFICATE - OPTIONAL

3.Diffusible hydrogen - ?-SHALL BE SPECIFED IN CERTIFICATE - OPTIONAL

Mechanical Testing

1.Yield strength - Found from ASTM - AS PER SFA5.4

2.Tensile strength - Found from ASTM - AS PER SFA5.4

3.Impact test - Found from client spec the required impact energy

4. Lateral expansion - ? - AS PER SFA5.4

4. Hardness - Found from client spec

What is Test schedule according to 5.01, ie Schedule F, G,H,I,J and Schedule K?
IF THERE IS NO CUSTOMER REQUIRMRNTS/SPEC, YOU CAN GO FOR SCHEDULE - F. BUT IN YOUR CASE SEEMS TO CUSTOMER REQUIRMENT ALSO.SO YOU CAN GO FOR "K".. AND SPECIFIY THE .ADDITIONAL TEST REQUIRED BY THE CLIENT/SFA5.01.
OR OTHERWISE GO WITH "J"
