Re: [MW:27809] Change in WPS & PQR

Hi

Further to above , I would like to add some points specific to your doubts.

As  you know that there are bunch of new materials were added to QW/QB-422 in after 2010 edition,

Sometime in 2010, I happened to attend the lecture from Mr.  MR. WALTER J SPERKO Vice-Chairman, ASME Section IX and President, and Where he talked about secrets of using ASME Sec-IX. 2010 edition and addendum's..

Your doubt was discussed that time , inquiry are made attached herewith for your reference

inquiry # 09-490 , Read the full interpretation in my attachments

You can find this interpretation in official ASME site as below (  enter  record no # 09-490)

 https://cstools.asme.org/Interpretation/SearchInterpretation.cfm

 Hope it clarifies your doubt.

a WPS can be revised. However a PQR cannot be rervised. So if on your PQR the subject material was not assigned with a P-no you have to make a new PQR

Dear Experts,

Can anyone suggest..

I have an Old WPS in ASME Sec.IX  with Material Grade IS 2062  E250 B  in   unassigned  material number  , now I would like to use  but the inspector said that currently  it is in Assigned -P1  number .
So can I change my WPS  front page with revision by editing as Assigned number , similarly in PQR .

Is it mentioned any where in ASME Sec.IX .

Thankyou
