RE: [MW:27794] RE: 27787] Welding oF dissimilar metal at High temperature(Micro Alloy+P11)

You should use Incolnel 82/182 or Inconel 112electrode /matching filler for such dissimilar joint. Note procedure qualification on these cast tubes are extremely difficult. There're some guidelines developed by API for similar alloys in petroleum industry, which may be referred for developing proper welding guidelines.

Thanks.

Dear Sir,

The tubes are centrifugally cast and chemical composition  is  below.

Grade G 4852 Micro(25Cr 35Ni Nb)

C 0.45,Si 0.7,Mn 1.5

Cr25, Ni 35,Nb1

P 0.03,S0.03,W0.6,Ti,0.3,

Pb 0.01,Sn,0.01,Zn,0.01

What's the micro alloy to be welded? What' the manufacturing condition. Could you attach the MTR or any other appropriate details?

Thanks.

Dear Expert,

We want to weld Micro alloy (Ni,Cr) furnce tubes with the P11reducer in the Steam methane reformer that will be operator at 850 to 900 C temperature.

Please provide your opinion about welding reliability of these two dissimilar   metal at high teperature.

Regards,

Asif Shahzad
