You have not mentioned clearly in which dept u r working in fabrication, either in construction or QC..?
If u r working in Fabrication Field ( especially as a Inspector ) for 8Yrs then it will be very good to improve your career to next level, Since your experience will be counted 8+Years in inspection,But if u worked as a site engineer / construction or Other than inspection field, then your experience is counted as 0+years,Since i am also in inspection field right from the beginning of my career.
In some interview they are asking me "what is your experience after you have done your certification". Hope you understand what i mean..
