charphy test is evaluating the impact value(observed energy) by breaking the Specimen.
The speciment is from the material to be tested, and the specimen will have a "V"notch.
the CTOD test specimen will have the measured crack ,and will give the impact energy ,based on the development of crack extension, the impact energy will be decided.
