Re: [MW:23187] PQT for A333 Gr.6 pipe

Hi,

What you have mentioned is one of the option. or you can directly weld pipe to flange and carryout the procedure qualification for which you may have to procure additional flanges.

Subject: [MW:23181] PQT for A333 Gr.6 pipe
Dear Experts,

In our project, we have to establish a  WPS /PQR for A333 Gr 6 Pipe (P-1,Group-1) and Flanges A350 LF-2 (P-1,Group-2).   Process - GTAW+SMAW (with ER 70S-2 and E7018-1).

How to conduct/establish one combined PQT with P-1,Group-1 to P-1,Group-2 ??

Can we make two PQT separately of below options :-

One Pipe to Pipe in 6G position and other any Plate to Plate in 4G/3G position of which Tensile Strength 70 ksi) - Is it acceptable  as per ASME Sec-IX?

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance,

R.K.Samanta
