Subject: [MW:23061] RT Report clarification / advise required--Dear Experts,
I am pleased to draw your attention and please provide your valuable input / advice / comment / clarification regarding my interpretation as below.
The following is the requirement as referring to the attached 6600028289 (OOK) schedule Q_quality requirements attachment 1 clause 2.2.1.
Quote starts
Quote Ends" When performing, reviewing or ensuring Nondestructive Testing in VT, MT, PT, RT or UT, he shall be certified in the specific method(s). When performing, reviewing or ensuring Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (), Inspector shall be certified in ASNT Level II."
My interpretation is RT report shall be reviewed or ensured by the inspector with ASNT Level II certified in RTFI.
And after reviewing or ensuring the reports as per the requirements that report shall endorsed (singed) by that inspector who is qualified in RTFI .
But the vendor is dis agreeing with the my statement.
Please advise me.
Thanks and best regards,
Mohammed Ismail,
Mechanical Inspector,
vendor inspection department,
Velosi.
