Re: [MW:22458] Calibration Accuracy Info In Cert

Hello Sarvanan,
If some one says an equipment is calibrated and gives written evidence of some measured values vs the actual ones, the best thing to verify that calibration is to cross check some of those values and some other ones not given in the cert - by using an industry standard or another calibrated equipment (are we going in circles here)....Any QC will approach this issue from this point of view.
There are certain norms for general equipments as regards the accuracy, frequency of calibration, etc. A QMS identifies these parameters in their activity named' Calibration'.

With Best Regards,
Shashank C Vagal

Mr.George,
Can you give examples for pressure gages , say 50 bar maximum scale.

Dear Experts ,

I have attached a sample Calibration Cert for AC DC Clamp Meter.

My query is, when QC team receive this calibration cert which is calibrated by outside testing lab,

how the QC confirm the accuracy or confidence level and on what basis, when they approve this certificate for usage.

I would like to know for Pressure Gages, Vernier Calipers, Micrometer, QC DC Clamp Meter, digital temperature Gun, etc

Regards,
Saravanan
