[MW:22451] Selection of IQIs

Dear experts

There is a major difference between the selection of IQI for DWSI according to ASME V article 2 & API 1104

ASME sec v T-276.2    (2013) -1

Based on single wall thickness + reinforcement

2- API 1104 (11.1.5)         (2013)

Based on twice wall thickness + reinforcement internal &external

(copy attached for the two statements)

IT MEANS THAT

The same weld and the same technique but the essential wire diameter differs!!!!!!!!

Please advice and if there is an ASME Inspector to consult the ASME to make this relaxation because it makes a big difference.
